Satgur jo so pyaro shevak pale gur ja panj ikraar;
Satgur jo so pyaro shevak rahe nimanon shevadaar. Satgur jo so pyaro shevak kare shevkan jo satkaar; Satgur jo so pyaro shevak guru sangat san kare pyaar. Satgur jo so pyaro shevak guru pyaran ji sifat kare; Guru avtar aa antaryaami ahirhe sikh khe disi thare. |

He is the True Master's beloved disciple, who lives up to the five pledges held out to the True Master;
He is the True Master's beloved disciple who remains a humble servant. He is the True Master's beloved disciple, who shows respect to the fellow disciples; He is the True Master's beloved disciple, who shows love to the congregation of the disciples of the True Master. He is the True Master's beloved disciple, who praises the beloved ones of the True Master; Avtar says, the True Master knows all and he is delighted to see such a disciple. |
Meaning
This verse explains the role of the true disciple. He shall be the most beloved devotee of the true master:- who follows the five promises made to the master- who stays a humble servant- who respects his fellow devotees- who praises his fellow devotees. Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, the true master is delighted to see such a true devotee.
